Schedule time on the calendar
Block out time by dragging straight on the Week view, then pick the deliverable. The fastest way to log a day you can picture in hours.
Before you start
- A project with at least one deliverable. Every entry attaches to a deliverable.
- A computer with a mouse or trackpad. Dragging on the calendar is a desktop interaction.
This one is for desktop
Dragging on the calendar grid needs a pointer, so it works on a computer, not on a phone or tablet. On a phone, open the Day view and use the Log Time form instead, which does everything the same way.
Create an entry by dragging
Open the Week view
Go to Time and make sure you are on the Week view. Each day is a column you can draw on.
Drag to block out the time
Press down in a day column at the time you started and drag down to when you finished. A highlight follows your pointer and snaps to neat intervals as you go.
Pick the deliverable
When you let go, the Log Time form opens with the date, start, end, and duration already filled. Choose the project and deliverable, adjust anything you need, and click Log Time.
Drag down a day column to block out time, then pick the deliverable.
Good to know
The times snap to the interval your team uses, so blocks line up cleanly. An admin sets that interval in organization settings.
To change an entry, click it to reopen the form and edit the times there.
The calendar covers daytime hours. To log time outside that window, use the Log Time form and type the start and end time, or just the duration.
