Time tracking

Track every hour against the exact deliverable it belongs to, then turn that time into an invoice without re-keying a thing.

Two ways to log time

Run a timer while you work and it lands on the deliverable when you stop. Or fill the week in one sitting at the end of the day. Either way the hours attach to a specific deliverable, which is what makes billing later so quick.

Choose how your team logs time

An admin picks which methods your team uses, in Settings under Time Tracking: a running timer, a start and end time, or a plain typed duration. Switch on the ones that fit how you work and the Log Time form shows only those, so nobody wades past inputs they never touch. At least one method always stays on.

A view for every habit

Grid

A spreadsheet-style week: deliverables and categories down the side, days across the top, totals as you type.

Day

One day at a time, the natural fit for a phone and for logging as you go.

Week

The week as a calendar, where you can drag right on the grid to block out time.

Month

The month at a glance, to check nothing is missing before you bill.

The grid: fill the week in one pass.

Jump to any period

Above every view sits a period picker. Step back and forward a day, a week, or a month with the arrows, or open it for one-tap jumps: Today, Yesterday, This week, Last week, Next week, This month, Last month, Next month, This year, and Last year. Picking a period takes you to the view that fits it: a day jump opens the Day view, a week jump the Week view, and a month jump the Month view. The Grid stays put on week jumps, and the year jumps keep whatever view you are in and just move the date.

Zoom the timeline

On the day and week calendars, the − and + buttons in the toolbar zoom the hour rows in and out, and the reset button snaps straight back to the default view. Pull back to fit a whole day on screen, or spread a busy afternoon out so you can drop entries precisely; as you zoom in, the time axis adds half-hour and then quarter-hour marks so you can place entries to the minute. Your zoom level is remembered for you on this device.

Hover for the full story

Each entry on the day and week calendars shows more as it grows taller: the project and hours first, then the deliverable and the exact times. Hover any entry for the complete picture — project, deliverable or category, hours, the time range, who logged it, tags, and the notes.

Your time, or the whole team’s

Every time view opens on your own entries. The Day view, the Week calendar, and the totals are yours by default, so nobody has to scroll past other people’s hours to find their own.

Anyone with permission to see team time gets a Me / Team toggle. Admins and managers hold that permission by default, and an admin can grant it to anyone from Settings, Permissions. Switch to Team and the same views widen to everyone, each entry labeled with who logged it, with a person filter to focus on one teammate and totals that break down per person. It is the quickest way for whoever runs the work to see where the team’s hours went without leaving the time screen.

Everyone else sees only their own time, with no toggle to reveal anyone else’s. The same rule holds on a project’s Time tab: you see your own entries on that project, while anyone with permission to see team time sees the whole team’s.

Log straight onto the calendar

The Week view is a calendar you can draw on. Drag down a day column to block out a stretch of time, and the Log Time form opens already filled with the start, end, and duration. Pick the deliverable and you are done. It is the quickest way to lay out a day you can picture in hours.

Tidy as you go

Made a mistake or logged something twice? Archive an entry to take it out of your totals without deleting the record. Archived entries tuck away under the Archived filter, ready to restore if you need them back.

Straight into invoicing

Because every entry is logged against a deliverable, your unbilled time is always ready to bill. When it is time to invoice, WorkWiser pulls the unbilled hours for a client into a draft for you, so tracking and billing are two ends of the same thread rather than two separate chores.

Why it matters

Time that is hard to log does not get logged, and time that is not logged does not get billed. WorkWiser keeps the act of tracking light, then makes that effort pay off the moment you raise an invoice.
