WorkWiser documentation

WorkWiser brings time tracking, projects, invoicing, and client email into one fast workspace built for small service teams. These docs walk through what each part does and how to get the everyday jobs done.

The core loop

Everything in WorkWiser hangs off one simple spine: plan the work as deliverables, track time against them, and turn that time into an invoice. The same data flows through every part of the app, so nothing has to be re-entered and nothing billable slips away.

The dashboard pulls the whole studio into one view.

Reading your dashboard

The dashboard is your home screen, a read-only overview that links straight into the work. Each tile is a shortcut: click a card to jump to the section behind it. Quick Actions at the top let you start the two most common jobs in a click, and the inbox widget shows the latest client conversations.

You will not always see every tile. The dashboard adapts to your role and to which features your organization has turned on, so people see the numbers that are theirs to see and nothing that is switched off.

The tiles, at a glance

What each card shows, and who sees it.

Hours Today & Hours This Week

Your own tracked time, today and across the week. Everyone sees these.

Recent Time Entries

Your last few entries, so you can pick up where you left off. Everyone sees this.

Assigned Deliverables

The work assigned to you, with a Load more for the rest. Everyone sees this.

Team Hours This Week

Hours logged across the whole team this week. Visible to managers and admins.

Unbilled Total, Recent Invoices & Overdue Invoices

The money picture: what is ready to bill, what is out, and what is late. Admins only.

Inbox

The latest client conversations, with unread counts and a link straight into the inbox.

What's inside

Connected modules. Start anywhere, then follow the links into the how-to guides.

Projects & Deliverables

Plan the work once and see it as a table, a board, a calendar, or a tree.

Clients

The companies you work for. Every project, email, and invoice ties back to one.

Time

Run a timer or fill the grid. Every hour lands on a deliverable, ready to bill.

Invoicing

Build an invoice from unbilled time, issue an immutable snapshot, track it to paid.

Inbox

Read and reply to client email from Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP, beside the work.

Notifications

Mentions, replies, and the things that need you, gathered in one bell.

Admin & your account

Run the organization, and tune your own profile, theme, and preferences.

Two kinds of docs

Each module has a Product page that explains what it is and why it matters, and a set of Guides that walk you through the everyday tasks step by step. The left-hand menu groups both under the same module, so you can read the overview and drop straight into the how-to.

New to WorkWiser? Start with Projects & Deliverables, then Time, then Invoicing. That is the order the work tends to flow.

Good to know

The bell, next to your account in the sidebar (or in the top bar on mobile), collects your notifications, mentions, replies, and anything that needs you, so the important things never get lost in the dashboard.

WorkWiser installs as an app. Look for your browser’s install prompt to add it to your home screen or desktop and open it like any other app.
